Getting StartedSetup is really easy! On the settings page, just enter your target blood sugar level, your correction factor, and your carb ratio. Select the Unit Type (mg/dL US standard or mmol/L UK standard) that you use based on where you live. Lastly, if you want to round to the nearest half or whole unit, just select the rounding button and what you want to round to. Make sure to hit save - and that’s it!
Ready to kick it up a notch? Click Advanced Settings. First, you can use the toggle on the right to turn on or off “Negative Correction Factor” to lower your insulin amounts when your blood sugar is low. If you want different carb ratios for different meals, Enable Advanced Carb Ratios by using the toggle. Enter the carb ratios that you use for each meal and then click “save.” Now, when you go back to the Insulin Calculator, you will see a new box that lets you choose the meal you are calculating for - How cool is that?! |
Insulin CalculatorThe Insulin Calculator is very user friendly. All you need to do is enter your current glucose level and the amount of carbs you are planning to eat. Hit calculate and BOOM! The insulin amount is displayed for you. But wait, there's more! Click “Log it” and we will record it all for you. You can view your log on the Insulin Log tab.

The Insulin LogThe best feature (I think) on this page is the ability to email your Insulin Log! Select the starting and ending date that you want the logs from and click the “Send” button. This will allow you to send a list of your numbers to your medical providers, or anyone else who needs to know. To delete any logs just swipe left on the log and click delete. When you click on a log, it shows you all of the details and allows you to edit if needed.

My Food LibraryMy Food Library is for you to create a list of the foods you commonly eat, so you don’t have to keep looking them up all of the time. It will help you keep track of your foods, their carb amounts, quantities, and any notes that you have. All you have to do is click the add button and type in the food name, carbs, quantity, and any notes. Just like The Insulin Log, My Food Library allows you to delete and edit any entry.
